Ran errands again, finally got the laundry done and water in the tank.
Stopped by a sailmaker's shop, Ullman's Sails and had the jib
completely resewed, yeah, for less than we have found all the way up the
coast. Installed the new jib halyard (Curt climbing the mast with a
home made Bosun's chair and Nelson cranking and me pulling the rope to
get him to the top.) After the second try we got it done and also
installed the old rope as a secondary halyard. Curt up the mast for at
least an hour, his legs were pretty numb by the time he got back down on
the boat. But all was done and Curt was safe. Thanks Nelson once
again, couldn't do it by ourselves. Curt also installed a new cable on
the rudder, hopefully it will work better than the current system. Good
day. Peel and eat shrimp once again, yumm Restocked our groceries.
Ready to go.
