June 11, 2014 leaving Deltaville Yacht Center

Heading for Annapolis today with a stop in between then onto Baltimore to meet Amanda Welte, anxious to see her and her family.  Made it to Smith Point Marina, stopped early due to a severe thunderstorm with poss. hail and winds gusting 30-40 miles an hour.  Sitting here tied up ready for a big blow.  SE winds 5-10 miles an hour until the storm gets here.  Thunderstorms forecasted again early tomorrow morning as well as each afternoon for the next 4 days. :(  Keep praying for safe travels for us.  Curt just said we made 26 miles today.  Jib worked well in the 10-15 kt winds with gusts higher.  Waves were 4-5 ft. pounding and bow of boat dipping down and pointing up on the big waves.  Better after we turned more north.  5 hours travel time today making tomorrow a long day to Annapolis providing weather cooperates.  Just happy to be in a sheltered marina for now.
