May 9, 2014 Brunswick Landing Marina

Spent the day on our bikes riding around town, seeing the historic downtown, found the Lover's Oak tree, supposedly there at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. They claimed it to be 300 years old.  Beautiful huge oak trees all over town off course with the Spanish Moss hanging off them.  Ended up having lunch at a cute little restaurant with Caribbean menu.  Was very good.  Rode our bikes over to the grocery store and looked around a few stores in the mall area.  Rode back thru a very low income area, glad it wasn't dark, definitely not a place we would go in the dark.  Ended up having to ride our bikes back to the mall to return something, which was another 4 miles, stopped at McDonalds and had a McDonald's Peach Pie.  Just had to do that since we were in Georgia thinking of the great Georgia peaches, sad they are not in season.  Made it back before dark to the boat, went to the lounge which was amazing huge,  big wall library with a table for lounging and couches with two big screen TV's, better yet free laundry with king size washer and dryers.  Did three loads and finished around 1 am. Fun to heat up a bowl of soup at Midnight in their microwave.  They also had a huge room with wet bar and tables with movie night every Thursday night.  Very nice lounge, best so far.
