March 30, 2014 Sunday, Mangrove Marina, Key Largo, Florida

After waiting until 1500 hrs for the wind to decrease from 20 kts, we departed the marina at 15:30 in 10 kt. winds and sunny skies. Motored sailed till 19:30 hrs (Sunset) and anchored at the mouth of Steamboat Creek in the NE corner of "Barnes Sound".  We were the only one there.  Very quiet, quite a switch from the last month.  Saw ripples going across the water, ?Alligator?.  No swimming here.  Mosquitoes or no-cums were eating us up for awhile.  Nice place, beautiful sunset and sunrise, quiet and calm protected anchorage.  Watching the whitecaps on the lake behind us.
