Departed Turner Marina at around 12:30. Motored/sailed to ICW, tied up at the abandoned industrial dock right across the "ditch" from LuLu's at 5:30. Rowed across the ICW in the dark with the dingy, current going out so wasn't bad to row across but coming back tide was coming in and more really had to oar to get across to our boat. Got back to the boat around 9pm from a nice supper at Lucy-Be-Goode's, the restaurant behind LuLu's. LuLu's was closed till the end of January. Glad we went last month when here with Pete and Darlene. Went about 31.6 miles today, sailed with both jib and main at 6.1 knots from 3:30-5:00pm until we enter the ditch then motored to LuLu's getting there just at dark, getting colder, may be a cold night. Start of the GICW at East end of Bon Secour Bay at Nautical Mile 151.
Coming into the "ditch", Gulf InnerCoastal Waterway, looking backwards to Bon Secour Bay and below forwards to the GICW
Beautiful sunset with the ripple of our boat wake on the GICW
Looking down the waterway at the bridge over LuLu's, almost there
Just couldn't get the blue lights of LuLu's to focus, but this is what we looked at from our anchorage after we were tied up.
Old dock, a little unnerving walking on it because the boards were rotten in places
Good solid pilings to tie up to though
We made it, for some of you who don't know, this is Jimmy Buffet's sister's restaurants, he wasn't there when we were, pretty calm cold night.
Interesting decorations in Lucy B Goode's, neat drift wood ball
Quart Jar lights hanging from the ceiling, neat wood on the walls with family pictures
