Sunrise was beautiful, too bad it was still hazy, just couldn't get a picture of the other waterfalls, too far away.
This is the surfing school Curt went to.
Big Saturday market we stopped by to get some things.
Lettuce and Kale looked so good.
Ignore the orange and look at the two sizes of pineapple, we did get a larger pineapple which was ripe in a couple of days and sugar delicious. Vera said what we get on the mainland doesn't begin to compare.
Interesting Jewelry
Bought a soursop from this lady and some nut type seed called , it has some type of magnetic field that decreases blood pressure, anxiety and depression.
Opaeka'a Falls on the East side of the island,
River below where the Heritage Trail is and the Kamokila ancient Hawaiian village
Outriggers front lower, canoes, kayaks for rent to go down river and see Secret Waterfall with swimming below it.
More Hibiscus
Went back up the winding one lane road to the Waterfall park, on the way Curt saw a bunch of these Starfruits on the ground, looked up and saw lots more in the tree way up high on the bank. Picked this one up, washed it and had it for lunch. Different king of taste, not sweet or sour, kind of plain but very beautiful to look at. God sure does create alot of beautiful things.
Nice place for a quick sandwich and starfruit fresh off the tree. We had tried a piece at the market in the morning but was not as ripe as this one.
River going out to the ocean going by the Ancient Hawaiian Village
Opaeka'a Falls on the East side of the island, well know for having a rainbow at certain times of the day, Curt bought 3 small loaves of Mango bread from a nice Hawaiian Grandma, super good bread, he bought her out so she could go home. People were in this water swimming.
Neat flowered tree to the right as we were driving thru the Eucalyptus tree tunnel
The bark was rainbow colored on the Eucalyptus trees
Catamaran giving tours, think this was the 55 ft.
Spouting Horn Blow hole on the west end of Lawai Beach. Legend has it that a Giant Lizard or Dragon is trapped in this blowhole, it makes a loud sound as the water comes blowing up out of it. We got to see more whales breaching out in the ocean here.
Lawai Bay, cute little harbor near Poipu,we missed Nawiliwiliin Lihue
