May 29, 2014 Thursday MM203 on this leg of the trip meaning 203 miles from Norfolk

Took the courtesy car over to Beaufort historical waterfront, cool to see the Blackbeard Museum and the boat building yard.  12:30 Departed the Morehead City Marina, wind 10-12 kts from the NE, Cloudy skies, temp in the 70's.  Speed didn't get above 4.0 kts till we reached the Neuse River 5.5 kts across to Oriental.
1730-Went to see the free City dock but 2 boats already there and no room for us, mooring field rough from the winds, not much room for us, so went to Whittaker Point Marina that was supposed to be with nice BR and showers and a pool.  Tied up to the dock, wind out of the North 10-15kts, our boat was really rocking even in a slip, with the tide and open water they really get rough waters in this marina.  Took the courtesy van into Oriental with our gas tanks to get gas and stopped at the Walmart Express store, little store, one of two in the nation as we heard, the towns people wouldn't let them build in town so they bought land right outside of town and built the mini Walmart.  Unfortunately that was the only place we could find groceries late in the evening and had to shop there.  Drove around downtown which didn't take long.  Called a couple we had met at Southport that wanted to have dinner with us here in their home port.  No answer so we went to a restuarant that had two small Silos and a building in between, butcher shop on first floor and small rest. on 2nd.  Special for the night was breaded shrimp on a skewer with fries.  Good shrimp.  Went we got back to the boat going thru and around a housing area and woods to the marina, it was even darker than the trip back.  Took every thing back to the boat, the dock was  like a maize approx. 2 blocks(it seemed like more), got everything put away, sat down and couldn't believe how much the boat was moving in multiple directions.  I suddenly became nauseated and sl. dizzy, afraid to sleep in that environment went up to the nice club house and layed down on the big couches waiting for the wind to quit.
