May 11, 2014, Sunday, leaving Crescent River Anchorage

After coffee and letting the generator run for awhile to charge up the batteries we pulled anchoring.  Had calm waters but had slowly swung around on the anchor going the other way from last night.  Strange to wake up seeing something different in the morning than what you saw last night.  Back yard changing all the time.  As we were making our way out of the waterway with fields and marshes on both sides I something dark black, to be exact 4 big black things runny, looked like pigs runny, after looking at them in the Binoculars, Curt said it was definitely very big black feral pigs runny to the woods, no houses close or fence.  I thought they were cattle but they ran like pigs.  Glad we weren't out hiking in that field.  Coasted down the water way with the Tide usually behind us, came thru Isle of Hope and decided to go a little closer to Savannah when we saw a huge dark cloud with lightening.  After hearing thunder and seeing some pretty impressive lightening we decided to pull of to the marina just to our starboard, on the way there, looked at the map and saw it was pretty shallow trying to get in there so decided to just tie up to the dock at the private yacht club on the ICW till the storm passed.  By the time we got to the Yacht Club, the stormed had moved away out to the ocean, north east.  So we kept on going stopping at a small channel off the ICW called Herb River.  Motored way back in the waterway till  we had trees on all three sides fairly close to protect us from the winds.  Anchored just in time for the rain and wind to hit.  Curt cooked pork chops on the grill in between showers, got rocked by two boats flying by in the rain in the dark with music blaring.(around 9:30 or 10 pm), late for kids to be out.  Really rocked by a boat coming out of the channel.
