February 2, 2014 Sunday

Lazy day today, getting ready to leave tomorrow.  Warm sunny day, good day to travel but since last two nights here are free, will take advantage of it.  Gased up, filled with water, went to Walmart for groceries and fuel for the grill.  We walked there about 2 miles, beautiful day, got to talk with Mike most of the way.  A lady came up to Curt and asked if we were on a boat and if we wanted a ride back to our boat.  We had intended in taking the bus or walk but since she offered we said yes.  She had been on a boat for 12 years sailing all over, somehow recognized us when she saw us walking, said she remembered dressing like that when they were on a boat and always thankful when someone would give them a ride to/from the grocery store, felt bad she didn't stop and pick us up then.  Told her we needed the walk.  Refused any money said Pay It Forward.  Very cool.  Someone else who knows what that means.  Cleaned out the lockers since all wet from the boat sweating with warm air after the cold and rain.  Put away the groceries and came over to the lounge for super bowl party.  Hope to leave for St. Petersburg tomorrow and anchor out depending on weather.
I finished this tatting this morning, just kept adding Picots till I ran out of thread, kind a pretty, can be oval or round, not sure what I'm gonna do with it but it was fun to make.  Need to make some edging for one of my quilts and book markers to give away to special people we meet.  Any other ideas?

Hey Joe here's your coke reward

  1. Your tatting is beautiful.....It would look nice in a center block of an art quilt....imagine it superimposed on top of a dresden plate....
