Still here, get to go with Linda to a quilt shop, Yeah, a very nice one too. Curt spent time talking to the owner as she was machine quilting a big quilt in the back of the store. In their conversation he found out her husband taught sailing to kids, the older group Junior High I think would get to sail with him back from Honduras to Cape Coral. She said she was amazed how much they know and in emergencies know exactly what to do.Then we went over the bridge to Ft. Myers, saw the Marina we had planned on going to yest. A quick stop at Walmart and Judy and Billy's for my purse I forgot and off to pickup Rick and their grand daughter Nevaeh with the next stop at the Sannibel beach for shelling and playing in the sand. Found some really cute shells and here the sand was powdery in places like cornstarch, neat shells too. Linda taught me about the Cat's Paw, and other names I can't remember now:) Guess I should get a shell book and learn more. Back to our boat to pick up a few things for dinner and found out from our neighbor boats that we had drifted into shore or up against the sign that said "No Boats" by the beach area. Don't think that is what that sign is for:) We thanked those who we could and after checking to make sure the anchor was secure off we went for supper at the Eggers. Didn't think the wind had blown that hard today. After dinner the wind started blowing and pouring rain with lightening. Watched a movie Rick was in filmed in Kansas called The Last Good Indian. Neat to here his comments in different parts how they filmed the scene. His motorcycle, he had built from scratch, a replica of the first Harley Davidson Motorcycle was the reason they contacted him. Pretty Cool. When we got back to the Bimini Basin we saw our boat was very close, no, tied up to a Catamaran that was what we thought was far enough away from, but apparently during the storm it bumped our port side into their starboard. The lady was not happy but the gentleman was very gracious. After our apologies and embarrassment and listening to some ranting from her we pulled the anchor and moved a long way from them per her request and our comfort. As you can imagine we didn't sleep well even though Curt put out a second anchor. Wind blew, poured down rain during the night, our boat got a bath but the dingy full of water again. First time was about 2 inches in it. So much for this exciting day.
Neat ideas for unfinished projects at home
Love this quilt and the stitching.
